Compassion
Tis the season for fireworks to begin going off at random times day and night through the new year.
Last year there seemed to be a surplus every evening. They intensified each night until new years eve - which went on for hours - and then slowly they stopped over the following week.
That is a lot of stress for those with anxiety to loud sudden sounds, ptsd for people and our furry animal friends.
Good time to keep extra care with our furry friends to minimize the shock, panic and loss. no matter if you have furry friends in your life or not . . . if you love to blaze fireworks , would be great to practice with awareness that not all creatures love them as much. Even if they once did or would like to again.
Many cats and dogs go missing from their families. For them fireworks bring pure terror. They will bust through fences , break windows. run in front of vehicles, whatever in attempt to "get away" from the sounds of terror moving their their nervous systems. It is life or death for them.
They can easily be lost forever from families who care and love them.
There are many people that also experience dread with fireworks as their systems read the sudden sounds as danger. Their nervous systems light up in ways that feel awful. Often way past the time the fireworks have stopped for the night. It is literally painful shaking your whole body and being to the bone. And you have no control. Once the ride ignites you are in until it completes the cycle.
I like fireworks. They are amazing. Have fun and enjoy.
Maybe invite compassion for others who surround you along the way.
I am grateful for the many ways our communities work together to support one another. Including our furry friends being safe and cared for especially , when they do go missing.
Thanks for listening
Peace
